At Aikonik, we know you can't wear your hair loose and perfectly styled every day.  And we want to tell you: that's perfectly fine!  We love your pineapple updo!  But we want to remind you that what you use to tie your hair is very important, because depending on the material, it can break your hair, leave a mark, or change the texture in that area.

One option we suggest is using scarves.  Besides adding a touch of style to your look, if you use satin scarves, for example, they'll be great for your hair.

Another option is satin-edged hair ties.  They're just like a regular hair tie, but the material is different.

And finally, I recommend using them only for short periods, but if you absolutely must use a hair tie, make sure it's as thin as possible and don't tighten it too much.

A thick hair tie will leave its shape, and if you use it for a long time, it can change the texture of your hair where the tie touches it.
